My three freinds

Hi,

Pets to our home was like heat is the Human Body.Dogs are known as Person's Best Friend.We always had dogs at home.

Till My Mom was there,she always wanted to have one.My Dad had brought a 2 month old Alestian Female .That time it was just a week that our other dog had died.And we did not pets anymore as parting from it is very painful.We try to ignore,but could not do it for more then 2 days.The eyes attaracted everyone round.We named it Sonu.It was with us for 12 years,even after Mom expired,it was there with us and our true companion at home.Whenever me and my sis use to be alone at home,it never use to leave our side.If we go to take bath,it useto sit outside the [COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]bathroom[/font][/font][/color][/color],if we were sleeping sit neat the [COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]bed[/font][/font][/color][/color],if we were outside in Verandh,it use to sit near us.

My Mother was fond of dogs a lot.She used to feed even the stray dogs daily twice.Even the street dogs would all sit outside our gate and guard the house and would not let anyone come inside.One day someone left a broken legged dog near our gate.Mama couuld not resist it,so requested my father that we keep it inside the compond till it recovers.Called the vet and within 2 months it recovered,but that time it had gained our love,so we kept it also.But keeping a male and female was a mistake.Soon our Female dog gave birth to 7 pups.4 died after the birth and 3 survived.They very so cute.But we could not keep all of them.So had to part with the two.But could make give away the third one.So now we had 3 dogs.After mom's death,I [COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]amd[/font][/font][/color][/color] MY Sis took care of 3.After my [COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]marriage[/font][/font][/color][/color],my sister alone took care of it.Everyone use to come and tell dad that we should 3 dogs as it is very expensive and laso a nuisance.But I and My Sis ignored everything .

In July this year ,Our Sonu expired.And even the male dog Chintu ran away one day.At that time I was here.I just could not do anything but cry in Silence.Some people never understand the love for your pets.They think you are crazy.Now we just have Sonu's female pup which we named Bitu.But after Bitu goes,We have decided that we will never keep a pet,not becuse we think it is nuisance,but because when a pet dies it is very painful.It's like parting from a Family Member.

I feel very bad when I see people leaving thier pet in the streets when they are unable to take care of it.But why take a responsibilty of a animal when you are not able to give proper care and love needed.As human beings need love even the animal need it.

I think a long one.But some of the topics are very dear to your heart and we can'nt stop ourself from penning down our thoughts.

I agree with what you are saying.. I totally agree its terrible of people not taking good care of pets.. It is their responsibility so if you cannot take care then dont take one in... Sorry about the turn of events with your pets.. Many people dont understand this unique bond between human and animal.. its a pity. These creatures of God are great so sensitive and loving one unconditionally!!!! Do keep writing:)

Hi Babita,

I detest people who ignore their pets when they grow old, they abandon them on the street with the leash! Some even leave them back home and tour around, I had a doggie in my building who would sit at the door and cry loudly for his master who has gone for Ganapathi puja at his sisters place for two days. When I questioned her, she told me there was enough food for the doggie and he need not cry. He was free to roam around in the house too! How cruel isn;t it! I took the liberty of firing her for harrassing a living creature.

I am sorry about Sonu and Chintu. I can imagine your feeling. its very sad when your pets depart. I haven't yet come out of my cat dear Rani's death (this April).
and yes it is cruel on ones part to abandon their pet just like that. i cant imagine how could one do this?
My Mom always avoid going out only because of our pets. whenever she goes I have seen her try convincing them by saying repeatedly "i will be back soon". once my cat Sweety rolled on mom's saree, as if not letting her wear it, that day my mom had planned to visit Grandma, but eventually she dropped it. I always tell her that she loves them more than her children.

I am so happy there are some who think like me.................I genuinely request everyone tokeep a pet if only you can take good care of it,otherwise please don't have one.There are just humans,but they can'nt talk.......................

So nice of you to take up the matter to the neighbour.People think only giving food is enough for the pets.When will they understand they also need love.

I am so sorry to hear about Rani.

Yes Dear.when you lose a companion of years it takes time to overcome it.

Even my mom never went anywhere because of sonu,chintu and bitu.And if it that urgent,we use to ask our part time maid to take care.She too was fond of them and they were very comfortable with her.

Dear Babita,

Very heartrending, reading about your pets and most of all the devoted manner in which your dear mother used to care for them.Only genuine pet lovers will understand and appreciate this bond that we share with our pets.
Often we too feel guilty to leave our dogs for long periods of time. Fortunately we have a good maid who loves them too so half the problem is solved.The sad part is when we have to be out of station . When we speak about missing them some of our friends don't understand the fuss we are making.I call home twice to enquire !
I tell everyone that having pets and looking after them is the same as caring for our kids welfare.As our kids have left home after getting married our pets have taken their place at home.They are always with us indoors and we never chain them up outside.We can't imagine life without our pet doggies.

It's like it's repeatation of the things which happens in our housse.Even we don't chain outside and She is always inside.And when we go out we call home regularly to enquire.

Very true.They are kids.And need the same care and love.Some people think we are crazy.But it thier opinion and we can'nt change the way one thinks.

Sorry to learn about the loss of pets....
Last Sep. we lost our dog....but still couldn't get over that feeling...
I can understand yours too...
If we cannot look after ourselves, my point is , even if you have one...give it for adoption to a family, who would look after them....wholeheartedly..
