thinking of buying ipod

which is better shuffle or nano?

I have an Ipod Nano 1GB player. The sound clarity is very good and you can see the display of song being played in it. In the shuffle you cant see it.

You have to use it only with the Itunes software. But once you copy a song on the Ipod you cant transfer/copy it back to the system - this i feel is a disadvantage - for eg I copy a song on the Ipod at my office, but cannot copy/transfer it to my system at home.

Also if you can buy a MP3 player with FM, you can record songs from the FM and i think it is an advantage.

If anybody thinks I am wrong, kindly correct me.

Shuffle is hopeless, ....my hubby presnted it for my b'day, since my daughter has nano and i had presented him the video model.......
I gave back the shuffle and got a normal mp3 player with fm( except here i get only german songs) ...but still i can see what songs r playing and can make folders etc and even record....i too feel ipod is a waste.....my daughter too says that it is difficult to add new songs instantly etc....It is finally only the brand and marketing. Also her Nano, hangs many times and she has to shut down and wait etc!
So go in for a normal one!I saw some similar modelös in Samsung and phillips too!

I too have Nano 2 GB, sound clarity is amazing... and its so small and cute... white color is very elegant

if u order online, u can get soemthing written on it as well, like our name or a small quote, there is a word limit though.... but mine was gifted to me and has my name and a small quote on it...

a thing of a lifetime, i wud say...

the nano 2GB cost around 98 pounds and its available in argos, currys. mine i got it from asda.

i have also one question :

without itune does the ipod charge?

i am thinking to take it in india and i dont know if the ipod will be working or have any problem with charging.

so finally you got it!! good - it is charged through the usb port so there should be no problem if you have access to computers in india. or else you have to buy the extra charger which you can use anywhere.

itunes is the program used to convert mp3 songs suitable to i pod.
