Baking Classes

I have a few questions regarding cake classes.

1. Learning cake classes in U.S - is it useful in India? Where i heard we don't get certain products liker shortening, wilton products etc.,

2. If not can someone tell me where they are teaching cake classes in chennai - Anna nagar.

I know to make a cake but for decorating and other stuff i need to learn from professional person.

As for you enquiries.........hope its not to late....still
a) Shortening margerine is available in Chennai and also specialised ones
b)Wilton products...depends on what you want, decoratives or moulds
c) Baking in US and India is all the same except for certain ingredients.....

Having bought a new MorphyRichards' OTG, I am also very much interested in baking, only vegetarian or egg less, and do you think that I can do it with just Chitvish's SBS instructions? I will be too glad since I don't move around freely.And what about the materials, do we get them all at one place or go around and gather them?To put it more clearly, is there any one shop where we go and pick up the ingredients....:spin
