Sathyanarayana Poja

Hi

I once attended the sathyanarayana poja........ after the poja is completed they gave few navathaniyam as a small bundle to my husband.....Can someone please explain whether we can get that or not....If not why they gave it to us?.......Its bugging me for long time.......somebody please explain.

Hi,

The most important part of Sri Sathyanarayana Pooja is to hear the Story and take the Prasadam. Neglecting the prasadam will make Sathyanarayana unhappy and will bring some miseries in life. In fact, one of the stories of Sathyanarayana explain the consequences of either not hearing the story after the pooja or neglecting to eat the prasad of the pooja.

So, you are lucky to get the prasad and please have it.
