Cable Internet Provider

Hi ,

We are moving to 7th cross street in Ashtalakshmi Nagar, Valasaravakkam(Maduravoyal). BSNL does not have lines there and Airtel also said they may not be able to provide it soon. Atleast phones we can manage with cellphone, but internet connection is mandatory for us. Does anybody help me with a good Internet Cable ISP.

its nice to c u r at valasaravakkam, im staying in valasaravakkam and my kid studing in la chatline, as for as i heard theres no negatives abt the school. most of the parents feel there no much handwritng for the kids, i agree its valid, but look at the future world who will write or sign there only pwds and other manual security related things and who will write all r typing then y r u people worring for hand writing.

Hi athmaindu, My tenant also faced the same problem. then bsnl gave them WLL phones. and also for the internet, Airtel conceded with giving a line, if there are more than 5people and you have to pay a little extra.

You can try a Tata indicom, landline with internet can work fine.
Or else, they have a Plug-and-Play device that connects to the USB port on your computer, that should work!
They claim it can work from anywhere in India - it is a mobile device. Cost is ~Rs.3K.

I have not tried it out personally, so you can check with others if they have used it. I have the Tata Indicom landline with internet that is what i use.

you can try Reliance. Either broadband or Reliance Plug and Play. We are Valasaravakam, my husband used Plug and play from Reliance.
We also have Aritel broadband, wonder why they denied for you. Just ask them again. I stay closed to Ashtalakshmi Nagar only.

Also, plug & play from reliance seems to be v expensive though. We use quite some bandwidth as we work from home. So we are looking for reliable and economically also good connection.

I am put up near Velankanni school. I have excellent Airtel connection from the past 8 months, no issues at all.
