Good Tailors

Hi all,

I want to suggest you two good tailors from whom I have got my dresses stiched and all have turned out to be too good. My mother's general statement about a good tailor is that the stiching will never come off but the cloth will tear after lots of wear and wash.

I have experienced this with both the following tailors.

1. Mr. Basha - He is now with the Jeans Park Tambaram. He was previously with Nine Gems Tailors and the blouses he stiched for my wedding were an exact fit then and now after removing a stich in the hands and hips(as I have put some weight), they are still a perfect fit. Though the stiching rates are bit high you will get full satisfaction.

2. Deepsha Dresses - Royapettah. She has her own boutique next to Univercell Showroom Royapettah. You could choose from the material she has and also you could give your own materials for which she charges a bit high than for the charge of the material chosen from her shop.

Forgot their phone numbers. Have them in my PDA. Will check and post it tom.

Lady Hawke in Mookambika complex also do a good job of stitching salwars. Shabnam in Mylapore next to Rex fashions stitch blouses well, you can give them patterns or the normal style. Thier blouses are a good fit , after a long wait I found the right tailor to stitch blouses for me.

and pls tell me friends, whether it willsuit me SHORT AND STOUT FIGURE

Lata it will definitely suit you. Try this Mr. Basha in Jeans Park. Want more det pls call.

Hi Rajmi/Lata,
I have asked about good tailors in Tambaram area from Rajmi long back and she PMed the details about Mr.Basha from Jeans Park.I took my hubby there and we gave about 2 sets of Formal Pant n shirt for my hubby +one churidar set for me.Though it took a little longer than the due date,the fitting was excellent....
I'm gonna try blouses next as Rajmi has told that his fitting is the best in town.

pls tell me some Good tailor in ashok nagar area. , all my chudi which I stitch recently spoiled , one is very loose and the others are very tight..and so ..on I am much worried about stitching now.

Thanks a lot for your comments. You know what I was keeping my fingers crossed, as to whether the fitting will suit you. Infact today my parents and my brother and SIL went there to give dresses for stiching. Some pants and shirts for my father and brother and blouses for my mom and Salwar for my SIL.

Aishu if you have the phone number of Jeans Park and Mobile Number of Mr. Basha. I think I misplaced them.
