Stitching Curtains.....

Hi all,

I got some beautiful block printed curtain material from Jaipur almost a year back! I haven't stitched them because I am unable to find somebody who will do justice to the stitching. A lot of the tailors I found are very sloppy or they stitch only with block pleats(which I do not prefer). Can somebody suggest a good tailor for stitching curtains?

Fab India on Woods Road has a tailor attached to them for stitching curtains . You can call the and take his number. I got it done there and he did it well.

If you promise to stop adding Mam to my name I will, Iam no grand old lady. Janani will do please.It's a request. For pleated curtains he charged rs. 500 per panel. Will check with hubby and tell you.

I've dropped the "m'am"! Well I didn't know how senior you were to me and didn't want to antagonise anybody. So thats why all the "extra fittings". Your estimate is enough. Will sure contact him. This will certainly fall under my budget.

Dear Shanvy and Janani,

Finally, I've seen you both and a lot of others! Shanvy, I come to Vijayaganapathi temple sometimes with my MIL. Maybe if we can fix up some date and time, it will be easier for us to meet. You see, I am not a very frequent visitor!

And Janani, very sorry for the "M'am" initially! I can see how wrong I was!

I live in a small flat, but the space is not the constraint..there are some other problems.... I was always thinking of having a small get together, with honeytha, rs18,meenaneelakantan and few others also in the same area
so we could all meet, if somebody is ready to host it...
