Any idea about invertor for home?

Am looking at an invertor for my house. With multiple brands being available in the market, the choice becomes tougher for the consumers. If any of you have any experience of using a particular brand of invertor, please do share your knowledge...

Go for branded ones like APC. As far as inverter goes, there are many local companies promising longer backups, but their servicing will not be good. So I suggest APC. We have been having that for the past 1 year in my house, after having tried some other local brands. It should cost around 11K to 12K.

Sukam and Microtek are the two famous brands here in Mumbai and being used by many with constant power cuts.

The purchase of the inverter depends upon your requirement.
What do you want:

One tubelight and one fan to be on
Two tubelights and two fans
All tubelights and fans
Mixer also
Other gadgets too.

They have power backups for different voltage usage. If we tell them what we require they will suggest you. The more lights you want, the costlier the inverter is.

Actually, here we connect it to the point of requirement.. tubelight and fan (numbers depend upon individuals). We need to run the invertor as per its capacity. Not to overload it. Then the backup time would fail. It may give up in short span of time and we will be again under darkness or without electricity.
