Bridal lehengas for Reception in Chennai

    Hi,

    I am looking to buy a lehenga style saree for my Wedding Reception. Can someone let me know some nice shops in Chennai where we can get it.

    I heard that we can get nice collection in sowcarpet for good rates... Anyone knows any particular shop there?

    Congrats on your wedding. Sowcarpet you can try Rangeela in Chinna naicken street for lehengas. Once you go there you will find lot of shops. Just go and explore the mint street. All your wedding purchases like Imitation sets, accessories including bangles you can buy at economical price.

    I went out window shopping for lehenga style sarees yesterday with my mom. I visited a few shops. Thought of sharing some info here for people who may land up in this thread...

    1. Rangeela: Chinna Naicken Street, Sowcarpett - Has a wide variety of lehenga sarees at all rates. Must see to get some idea and to compare rates with other shops.

    2. Mokshaa: 44, Cathedral road, Opp. Stella Maris College - Also provides one with many choices to buy, but a lil expensive.

    3. Man Mandir: Khader Nawaz Khan road, Nungambakkam - Great collections, and the material is too good. But very very expensive.

    4. Rupkali: 15, kakani towers, Khader Nawaz Khan road
    5. Gotewalas: Cathedral Road

    These two shops have only few collections. Not apt for Wedding sarees.

    6. Rangoli: Old no 28, new no 58, Nungambakkam High Road
    7. Kalanikethan: 12, Chaitanya Building, Khader Nawaz Khan Road

    These two shops have great collections at reasonable rates. I am basically planning to buy in one of these two shops. Not much of price difference between these shops and those in Sowcarpet.
