Hi All,

I have been suffering from nasal polyp (due to dust allergy)since 1 year, but for past 2 months am unable to breathe from my left nostril. I dont know what to do? I am thinking of getting it operated. Any suggestions??

Is there any good ENT specialist in dubai or sharjah? So that for the time being am able to breathe properly. Does anyone know how much does it cost for a nasal polyp surgery? or is it better to get it done in india? Any suggestions for good docs in delhi or noida???

Dear Neha

Dont panic . It is a minor health problem. I also suffered from nasal polyp 3 yrs back and had a surgery. If it is very small, steriods spray such as NASONEX can help to shrink. Pls consult a good ENT surgeon.

I am living in singapore and even after the surgery the polyps are recurring. But if i use spray regularly it is under control.

Thanks Sudha! Nasonex isnt effective for me.As there is a blockage and I can feel something being there. Someone told me to do pranayams. Will try that again.

Hi.. Don't worry about the polyp. If the doctor suggested removing it then its best to get that done (after u take a second opinion). There is a new hospital in RAK (A+ class)- RAK Hospital (private) and they have a very good ENT surgeon - Dr. Chikkara (he used to work with Zulekha hospital earlier) and has a good reputation (as far as I have heard). The hospital is in RAK but it will get u out of the dubai/ sharjah traffic and parking!!!!

I know a good ENT doc. Dr Shomeshwar Singh. Sorted out my moms polyps. Also came across as very honest. His clinic is in South extension.

wondering if you got your nasal polyps sorted out. What did you finally do?
Did you get it operated? By whom?
I'm having the same problem now and the doctor I see in Abu dhabi is asking me to get it operated. Wondering who to get a second opinion from. Any ideas?
