Good of you to post these names!
in today's world, children call their elders by their names only even though their sibling is elder to them by many years. But I like to call relatives by my relation to them and I have made it a habit to my son to call all by the relationship only.
And in Kerala, people still call their cousin athan/ammanji, athanga/ammanga and athan manni/ammanji manni.
The parents should take initiative to make this a habit with their children from a young age.
Whatever we say, addressing people like this is really beautiful and more intimate.

Sorry, I assumed it was Tamil because all of the words are used by tamilians. The Malayalis I know dont say most of these words - maybe that varies depending on which part of Kerala they are from.
