Dry brush stroke on fabric is done by using flat brushes. Just touch the paint with brush so that very little paint is on the brush, then apply as usual.
Other techniques that can be used is take a round brush take any color say yellow, on the tip touch with red & press the whole brush to form a petal apply the petal around a brown central round & u get a a flower.

hi revathi,

please use spirit/nail polish remover.. it really cleans the brushes, and also the stains in ur hand, in case of solvent glass paints.

hope this helps

hi all you enthusiasts!
one thing i want to tell you regarding brushes : if you are in chennai, buy your brushes from this shop called HINDUSTAN TRADERS, this is in the ROYAPETTAH VITAN bldg on the 1 floor. you can buy their house brand, esply the '0', '00' '000' range for posters and water colours- their bristles are v long and can be trimmed to the thickness you want! they also sell PEBEO brand of paints and brushes, they are v good too but v expensive.a 'o'/'00' pebeo brush costs around rs.250/- but worth it as i have used these only to do the eyes and eyelashes of the figures in my tanjore!
the phone number of the shop is :28116520. in case you want any particular material, you can give them a call and they will get it for you!
