It's Tim Tebow(Football Player) in oil Pastel

I've learned that sometimes you can actually overwork a piece.

For instance, I think I could have left the background well alone for the blue salwar kameez painting, i.e. I think brown trees in brown background looks more dramatic than the painted in blue sky



Now, I am drawing an awesome human being (If I love a pic, I have to draw it, no matter how difficult it looks)

Here is a progression. I figured I need to loosen my grip, chill, and see what "adds" to the painting, and leave out anything that is redundant

Then I did the clothing and helmet




All that's left is the face ..... less is more so I'm really taking my time with this .... I might even close the mouth ..... lets see


Any ideas on the background? Perhaps something subtle that adds to the painting.

Else, I can leave as is, because it looks rather nice anyways.
