Gold foil for tanjore painting

    Hello Friends,

    Just saw a video in you tube about tanjore painting. Saw using gold foil.The instructor said that it is a 24kt gold foil.What that it mean??? Is it a real gold foil? How much that it costs?? Where do we get those in Bangalore.. Any shops around Jayanagar??? Or is there any alternate we can use instead of gold foil?? Need suggestions friends....

    Gold foil is available in any shop selling Tanjore painting materials.Don't know anything about Bangalore, but in Chennai, it is available in Mehta Diamonds, Parry's Corner, and Gurubaran Art Gallary, Mylapore, where it it always reliable to buy.Both these shops sell online.So google and find it in the net and order.
