My Tanjore Painting of Maa Saraswati

Hi
I am uploading Tanjore Painting of Maa Saraswati done by me. My special thanks to Saroj(yashikushi) for the design.

I want your opinion. As Saraswati wears white sarees, I painted white with blue shading and border. Is it looking dull? Or Should I convert it to chrome yellow saree with red border?Secondly in the original picture there is no river and the background is completely black. Is the addition of river ok?

I know my dear ILites you can give me the necessary FB.

you have done with a passion of art.
So No way of making any flaws.
The facial feautres were too good.Loved the way of painting of Veena.
Gold foil impressions(outer frame work) were too pretty.
What you have designed is in a right way too.

1.As she is resting on Lotus adding of water is perfect...n the bg can be either black or dark blue.

2.Ma Sarawathy always dressed in white (sign of purity)..May be adding another layer of pure white.??!!!
but for me,you have over-highlighted the folds and border.For the border alone you can give gold chrome.

2.Please increase the colour of lotus.automatically It will enhance the other features.

Please bear my interference:hide:...If you don't mind will upload a file for reference(From GOOGLE search)
Please check n adjust the minors.

Looks good. The facial expression is really really good. Ma Saraswathi looks smiling and that is great to see. May Ma Saraswathi bless you with abundant of creativity

Hi chabolu the painting has come out very well.
I too hace done one saraswathi.The river part is a good additiion,
If you want try to increase the white colour in the sari by reducing the blue shading (saraswathi devi is mostly white).
I think changing the colour of the sari border would make the picture more striking against the river (now both are blue).
Wont a more darker pink lotus look better?.Waiting to see more from you

Thank you arm for the appreciation and for also suggesting the improvements. a true critic should also point out the shortcomings so that improvement can be made. I am thankful to you and Saroj for this .I am now rectifying the shortcomngs and will post the amended painting soon. I am also eager see your Maa Saraswati
