Crayon painting

Never knew that art will emerge like THIS using crayons, until persuaded my son's efforts.
So he compelled me to do one like him.

YES.I was set into action.But,was not much interested,and he kept me roving.he taught me how to merge colours.rubbing etc.
PENTEL oil pastels(49 shades) were used for our works.

Felt too lazy(?) but my shading and sketching were were on full swing by the side.My action was slowed down... a petal a day(the bg was roughly done first).While doing one petal have to adjust the adjacent ones as the colour used to merge while rubbing.PHEW....

Day by day my finger tips became a HOLE-like component due to rubbing the hues.

And asked him how did he finished all this astounding works..
This was his reply
"See,it will take some time,Don't be in a hurry.Its not like your pencil shading.If not in a mood please keep away"
My consciousness was altered and
Finally finished.!!!!!!
My work is last in the row.


Difficulty-1
The desired tone is got by adding the colours over and over.Eg..if black is the base then blue is given over,then purple,pink etc...note with 0% pressure(feather touch).if pressed little hard the base white will be seen.Again have start from the beginning.

Difficulty-2
For merging
For rubbing finger tips are used(with trimmed nails)Here too if pressure is applied too much then the crayon colour sticks to your finger..the base bg(note book paper)is the result.

Difficulty-3
The oil pastels tend to try off quickly ,so applying and rubbing should be done side by side.No postponing business.
The C.sticks and the work had to be avoid from exposure to outside....complete covering of the work with newspaper. Air-tight.

After finishing the work CAMEL's picture varnish and glossy spray was applied.So while taking the photos couldn't avoid the glare of the work sheets.Please bear.

My SON"S works comes first in the display.

 

The scratches in the bg was made by using finished(empty) ball-point refill.

I was dump-struck while he gave FULL LIFE to this sweet puppy.

After viewing this work,please take few steps backward..forward...then side ways,this way,that way...your heads bent left,right,....
In any way(direction) the eyes will Perceive your attention,stare you with smile.

This was his MASTER-piece.All the 49 shades of hues in Harmony.

YES my friend.I never done any such work.This was my maiden attempt.And after finishing felt like doing one more.That much was the attraction of this art.
encourage your DD...TINY tot will become boastfully big shot.My wishes to her.
The puppy and me always in tact.
