Hey Srini,

Good job! The explanations were as crisp as the kural itself.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Sriniketan,
This is a very noble gesture from you to post the kurals along with the meanings.
During my school days, the most difficult subject was Tamil for me....
I used to skip reading kurals for my examination , due to the fact, it's just 2 marks...
But, now, i would really love to read them & apply to my life

Thanks a lot for the same & all the best for you

Can I also request the following?
If you come across any interesting snippet from the Thiruvalluvar's life, can you post them too

Dear most Srini ma'am,

I have been reading and trying to decipher the simplified version too :) Though I read Tamil very slowly, but the pleasure in reading even like that is beyond words of praise. It is such a subtle language and I had always asked the meaning of Kurals to my father and he had tried his best to make it simple.. easy to understand... to the level of my knowledge.

But now I know, I will be reading your translations and will be able to tell my father the same Thank you very much and the effort taken is commendable !!

I will surely go through each and every line and let you know what I understood and how I relate the same to the small world that I have my experience in !!! :) Beware: "Your teaching skills now will be tested as you will be correcting each and every word of my feedback :):)"

May the Almighty shower the strength that is required.

My hearty congratulations to all ILites who are helping Srini ma'am.

Again, Hats off Malathy ma'am (our sweet IndusLady)

Regards with Love
RamyaVaradharajan

Dear Sriniketan,
Just two days before I was toying with the idea of starting a blog with the title "Thirukkual KaRpoma?" Now I am glad that you have started this and I wish you great success in your endeavour.

Dear Sriniketan,
You are at a wonderful job of furthering the cause of Tamil. While our fanatics fight there in the assembly over changing the Tamil new year from Chitthirai to Thai and then instructing all govt. offices to ignore the 60 years of the Tamil calender thus spreading pseudo-love for Tamil, here, you are, silently on a mission of your own to spread the beautiful couplets of the Great Tamil saint Thiruvalluvar through this website. Wonderful job! Keep it up!
Regards,
Malathi
