We thought a lot about that Vanaja. Members who play games and forward messages with the intent of having fun and fostering the sense of community will do so regardless of whether the post in included in the post count or not. This group (which we think is the majority) will continue the robust participation.

Members who play games and forwarded messages etc with the intent of inflating post count will stop doing so, which is precisely we want as well. Hope that clarifies.

I liked the PM status as before it was so short everyday need to delete the post so that the new one would come in safely.

I have one doubt now regarding the number of total posts from this entire website.

As you said earlier that all the posts from 'games' and 'Forwarded messages' section will be excluded and the count will be recalculated.

So the gross total from the website also reduces.

Am I correct.

Since Malathy is a little busy thought I would answer. The post count on the website will not reduce, only the posts counts for the members will reduce. We are not deleting the posts. So as and when you post in the games or FM and J forums, the website counts will go up, but not the members individual post count.

So now this should help you guess the 500K post date right?
