Geography game

Hi ladies,
Since we r from different parts of the world ,I thot of a game where we could say about our place to everyone...We have to say some speciality of our place like what climatic conditions,what is the capital or what is the main importance of our place or anything that will be informative to others.
When it comes from our freinds we will learn automatically.

Will this be interesting?..lets chk it out.

My place is Atlanta.
It is the capital of state Georgia,USA.
There is no snow here in all climatic conditions.
World Coke is head-quartered in Atlanta.(Coke was invented by an Atalnta pharmacist in 1886)

I'm from Phoenix capital of the State Arizona (AZ).

As u mite have noticed or seen many times in Weather reports on TV, Phoenix is always shining and blinking, cos its too hot over here most of the year. The tempratures arent very high if compared to North India, like Delhi... but still we feel very hot cos the Humidity is almost NIL over here, there is no precipitation... its dry heat...

Well thats all i know for now i've been staying here for 5 months.

I live in Durham, North carolina. very beautifull place with greenery every where with four seasons fall and spring is very beautifull we have everything of little bit some snow some rain and some hot in summer..

apart from if your outdoor person it has lot of parks with water falls and small
lakes with walk paths and hiking trails.( we do lot of hiking in the weekends)

It has Duke University which on of the top leagues , univerisity of north carolina and chappel hill Univerisity and reasearch triangle parrk(RTP)
with lots of companies..

Hey Abha, i lived in phoenix for 5 years prior to moving to durham I only think
of phoenix is jasmines grows very well for that hot weather i had three plants in baak yard which I miss them till today...(here i have it in pots)
and miss all my friends there..

I live in Madison which is the capital of the Wisconsin.

It's a lovely place, vast, serene & beautiful! Wisconsin is known as 'America's Dairyland'! The states bordering Wisconsin are Illinois, Iowa, Michigan & Minnesota.

The University of Wisconsin is based in Madison which contributes a huge student population, making it one of the largest public universities in the U.S. Madison is also famous for it's harsh long winters (which last 7-8 months) & heavy snowfall. Summers are brief lasting only 3 months.

I live in tampa bay in florida.
Tampa has beautiful weather all year round and has a lot palm trees and you
can have flowers in your yard just like the flowers you get in India. eg. hibiscus,jasmine.
Busch Gardens (theme park) is located in Tampa .

Im from seattle Washington state.

It is also called Emerald city.

Microsoft head office is in Redmond.

Mount Rainier is the highest and third most voluminous volcano of the Cascade Range.

I live in Sacramento,the capital of California.

California is bordered by Oregon,Nevada and Arizona and also Mexico.
California is called the Golden State.Got to know recently that it is because of the tall grass that grows here which when dry has a golden colour and the fields look like they are covered in gold. Till now,I thought that since California is where the gold rush happened,it came to be called the Golden state,but that is not true.

Here,in the place I live,we have no snowfall,otherwise we get to see and feel all seasons.California is also the most populous state in U.S.A.California is also known for being the first state when it comes to implementing very strict laws and therefore the taxes in California are high.

We have famous theme parks like Disneyland here and Hollywood is here too.
Last but not the least,we have 'Terminator' Arnold Schwarchneggar as our Governor...is that not too good?
