    Chicken Haryali

    (Serves 5)
    Ingredients:
    1 Chicken
    1 medium sized onion
1 tsp olive oil (for frying onions)

Blend the following ingredients to create the marinade:
    1 green capsicum
    4 green chilies
    1½ bunch coriander
    1 cup yogurt
    1 tsp. ginger paste
    1 tsp garlic paste
    ½ tsp. haldi
1 tsp. dhanajiru (coriander and cumin) curry powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 lemon
    1 tsp butter

    Method:

    Option 1:
    1. Cut the chicken into 8 pieces and marinate for a few hours.
    2. Slice the onion and fry it in a little oil until it turns golden.
    3. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook it at a very low heat. Cover it and stir occasionally.
    4. Cook until chicken is tender and relatively dry.

    Serve with roti or parathas.
    Option 2:
    1. Add the fried onions into the marinated chicken.
    2. Wrap it in aluminum foil and pop it into a (pre-heated) oven at 400 degree F. for 1 ½ hours.
    3. Open the foil and allow it to bake for 15-20 minutes more.

    Serve with chapati or parantha.

    ENJOY!!!
