With election fever high among the Politicians and general public, Politicians are trying to woo the voters by showering gifts. Since Election code is in place and Parties are prohibited from doing so, our politicians have come up with unique ways of wooing the voters with their gifts. Many political parties are luring women by gifting them Paithani sarees, washing machines and other expensive gifts. Although the election code of conduct restricts politicians from showering such lavish gifts on voters during the poll period, the events are being organized in clubs, which are indirectly associated with political parties." "With parties still uncertain of gaining major ground ahead of April/May elections, none is willing to sit pretty and hence purchase of vote has reportedly reached new heights. " This is not just in one part of the country where elections are being conducted. It is happening everywhere. Once elections are over whichever party wins will they continue to show the same love towards Voters and try to develop their constituencies and state/Country? The Answer we all know is a big No. All Political parties are business minded people. They are making their calculations and spending some amount now so that they can loot 10 times or more once they come in to power. It is the voters who are at loss. So Its my earnest request to all please don't get carried away be the lavish gifts showered by the Politicians and Think about who is the right candidate who can think about people and do good for all. Educated people may not be carried away by these but we should also sensitize people around us to not get carried away. Please do exercise your Vote it is our Duty and Right. Unless we exercise our Vote we have no right to criticize the Government. Do your duty and gain your rights. Please do pour in your Views what you think about these gifts by the Politicians and what we can do to curb this.
Yes Sonali I agree. I even heard that for muncipal elections people were given fares to go their home towns to vote. Why do people accept such things? do we need some motivation to go and excercise our duty?? This is not at all acceptable. If we just get carried away by these kind of instantaneous satisfactions then we are the ones who will be suffering for 5 long years with our and our country's future in such hands.
Restrictions and acts are applicable to both politicians and voters. Politician: Its one time investment to gain in 5years Voter: However its our money, will get only once for 5years.. Now a days politicians also accepting openly as they distributed.. Because they come to know that no one is there to believe as fact. Now a days its not open secret, turned to open market... Its like ebay auction service..
Rajini, to be practical, its tough to maintain the honesty when in between corrupted people.. They will suffocate or smash you.. Politics are like ride on tiger... People were always tries to be good, but conditions can be changed.
hmm RP its true but what is the solution for this do we have to live with corruption. What if all of us educated people stand for our values and stop supporting them.Any other suggestions from you other than going with the wind. What if more educated youngsters join politics? do you think situation will change or they will also become corrupt?
Yday, Ex-min Partha Saradhi Wife got caught with 45 laks....Isnt this money for Gifts?. Ayodhya Rami Reddy(Ramky) is spending 50CR for Narasaraopet.....Gift money....He will expect 10 times in next 5 yrs if he won.......... All these gift money is our hard earned Tax money....They collect from Tax payers and give it to Voters. If educated people vote , the system will change. Horribly, bangalore turn out to vote is only 58%, which is very sad. Hardly took 3 mins to exercise vote yday, its almost equivalent to commercial break between two serials, which we cant afford....
I agree with you Vemala Educated people can bring the change by exercising their vote. But most of them consider the election day as one more holiday due to several reasons either they are lazy to go and exercise their vote or they cant decide which one to vote as they feel all are same or some other reason. This attitude has to change.
The problem is educated people dont get time to vote. We should get creative ideas for next elections. If you dont exercise your vote, FB is not allowed. No Salary for next one month No Internet connection for a week. etc... Since educated people wont, Politicians will take money our tax money and give it to who ever can vote to them in standing Q for 3-10 mins.......3-10 mins, 3000 Rs is big money....
rajini, i dont expect the magic miracles, like zero corruption. Its not like going with wind, its existent.. Corruption happening not only with bribe or offers etc.. For example.. During the period of reddy, he cancelled every former credits and sanctioned debts for lower interest rates. In the former perspective, its great thing. But they were unable to think the consequences still.. How many educated people are getting into politics? Being an educated person, what are the things you are expecting from them?? Its being tough to live under same roof for two persons now a days, do one person can change 10 members?? 100% willfully expecting the change.. But i trust practicality.. How many people here adding the fake bills while submitting tax bills??? (sorry), it doesn't loot the government treasure??? Like this everyone has their reasonable points to make it done.. May be points are unethical but truths...
