A li'l about the place i stay: Dar-es salaam is the business capital and the largest city in tanzania, an east african country. Here indian as well as asian population is almost equal to that of the native population. A lot of asians especially indians are permenantly settled over here. so when we go out it seems that we're still in india. So we don't feel that home sick.. : )

The reason for joining the site: There are various things which interests me.. like making friends, trying recipes( I'm lazy to try new ones , but just to water the mouth looking at them ha ha.. ), parenting tips etc etc.. Hope to get into some threads and discussions ..
About my interests: Hmm... I cook,surf, read and garden a li'l.. Most of all i love spending time with my kids.. I believe that u should find happiness in the smallest of things.. Otherwise life will be really boring!!! Quite an advice isn't it?

So thats me in a nutshell, i guess.
Hope to make lots of friends.. get into some gud discussions..

Please visit the forum Indian's in Pune and start a thread for the playschools in Pune and our friends in Pune will surely give you enough information on that and your kids are just 13 months so still time for them to go to playschools. i think at the age of 2 admissions are given in the playschool. Hope all your queries will be solved.........

I am shiby, a Keralite from cochin, now living in Bahrain with my dear husband and loving daughter and little son. I moved here 4 years back on getting married . I have a masters degree in Computer Applications and used to work here before my son was born. Now I spend all my time with my kids and have plans to take up a full-time job again when small boy is ready to go to school.

I love reading novels (fiction and non-fiction), chatting on the net (that's the most effective method to remain in touch with my friends back in India), to an extent cooking (not an expert to take risk in trying new recipes!) and stiching dresses for my daugnter and me.

We go to Kerala every 2year. Having been born and brought up in a place rich in nature - water and greenery everywhere, it was very difficult for me initially to adjust in Bahrain- living among these tall buildings.

Love to hear from others...
