Who am I? - Part II

Hi friends,

I joined this indusladies site today and it seems to be a very informative site that discusses on many aspects.

I am living in Abudhabi for the past 2 years. Everyday i am boringly sitting in front of my computer. I was born and brought up in Nellai, South India. I am a graduate in B.Sc (chemistry). I am married with 9 month old daughter.she is very naughty. I am a home maker and I enjoy cooking, cleaning,surfing the net.Then watch a lot of movies in Tamil and Hindi.

This has to be the next paragraph as getting married was like the next chapter of my life. I have completely transformed myself from an ambitious career oriented woman to a wife, mother and homemaker. I have no regrets regarding this decision which was well thought out at the time of making as I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. The part of being a mother deserves special mention as it takes you past the line from childhood into adulthood. I am so glad that I took the time out of my career to see my son grow up from a baby as I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Being a very active person who believes in making the most of my day, and living in the UK, I have taken to making handmade cards and selling them to friends. I have also been helping out friends designing their homes and giving them decorating tips.

I try to exercise 5 days a week for about 20 minutes a day and have adopted a healthy lifestyle. I like to travel and would like to see as many places in the world as possible. I love nature and absolutely enjoy hiking and trekking. Music, I am ready to listen to anytime. I am not much of a TV person using it only to watch the news and the occasional comedy, design or cooking programs. I watch few Tamil and English movies as I like to watch it with my husband and he is busy most of the time. I like romance, classics, history, James Bond, Indiana Jones, all the kids movies and generally movies with a good storyline, lots of laughs and a happy ending. My latest interest is baking cakes !

I just wish that I had come across this website earlier as it is just what you need when you are far from home(India). I will mention this website to all my Indian women friends. Hats off to the founding mothers of this website !

I am Chitra,tamil palaghat iyer,born and bred in Kolkata.Lived in Mumbai after marriage for 5 yrs and moved to Singapore after that.Lived in Singapore for 13 yrs and just migrated to Canada(Alberta) this month.Still settling in and found this site very useful,esp the recipes.I have got a 17 yr old son.
