Hello everyone!!!

I am Reshmi, a Keralite brought up in Ranchi and Kolkata. Currently I am in Bangalore staying with my Husband.

I came to know abt Indusladies a couple of days back and decided to join as I felt it is a grt opportunity to make some valuable and everlasting friendships. So I'm here... among you... waiting to hear from some of you soon.

I was working for 2 yrs or so but then felt like I needed a break and so quit my job and now am a full time homemaker! My main pastimes are books , music and net surfing. i love reading anything readable. Now that I have a lot of time at hand, I also try some new recipes.

So that's a bit abt me - We'll get to know each other in time.

Hi Everyone

Myself Shahija (lovingly called Shahi by friends) born in Thrissur district, Kerala and brought up in Doha, Qatar. I am 29 years old and now well settled with my self employed hubby and two kids in Dubai, U.A.E. We have our own business of building materials here in Deira and a showroom in AL AIN. We have just completed 3 1/2 years in Dubai.

Flash back.I did my schooling with my kid brother in M.E.S. Indian School, Abu Hamour in Doha. Though my mother tongue is Malayalam, am fluent also in English, Hindi and Tamil.My father worked as supervisor for Darwish Trading whereas my Mother was the home maker. While in school I had done 2 years vocational course in Office Management. Then I got engaged in Aug 1999 to Afsal, a Marketing Executive born and brought up in Alleppey, Kerala but presently settled in Doha.I was working for a freight forwarding Company then.After 1 year long gap we got married in THE MILLENNIUM.After marriage I had the opportunity to stay with my parents.Before leaving Doha i was customer service executive for Qatar Airways in a cargo Company.After I left Doha for Dubai my parents followed me there too after 1 year.

Back to the present.I feel proud to say that my parents are staying with us now here in Dubai. My hubby lost both his parents and saw he finds my parents as his own.So that's why we are together from the beginning.My father has joined my hubby to run his business.I too assist him whenever i get time. My only brother too came to Dubai this year from Doha and has a job now in Jebel ali as Customer service executive in the logistics dept.

We started our business in a small office in deira with only 2 staff that is me and my hubby.Now we have a big office in the Mez floor in the same building with staffs in various departments and just recently we opened our showroom in Al Ain.

I have 2 sons. My elder son who is going to be 6 yrs old in a few days was born in Doha and studying here in the 1st std in Our own English school in Alwarqa, boys wing. My younger one who just turned 1 in the same month was born in Zulekha Hospital in Dubai.

I love music and keep a good collection of Hindi, English, Malayalam and Tamil songs.Since my hubby loves to watch latest movies in theatre I too watch the same with him with our kids and parents.I do keep a personal collection of latest movies VCD and DVD's which i have achieved through winning radio contests.I have a special craze for taking part in competitions and winning the same not for big things but for small things. I also collect crazy stuff specially fancy items like small dolls glittering, tiny stuffs.I love videography and photography and keep a good collection of our family snaps and videos.I also love interior designing.

My dream is to open up a boutique for ladies in the near future after my aim to help the needy specially orphaned children and old age homes is fulfilled. I need all your prayers so that our business can make enough money for the needy as well as our children's education.

Finally now about this site. I accidently ran into this site while i was browsing something else and I immediately joined just reading the name itself.I just quickly went through some of the threads and I can say now am proud to be part of this community. Kudos to the moderator of this community and I personally thank you for creating such an innovative meaningful site for us.Since I am new here in this site, look forward to making good friends and actively participate in the discussions held here.

Today I joined this forum. I get it thrw net surfing and find it very informative one. I am working in boutique designing (fabric work and Stitching work) espacially in India Saree, Salwar etc. I hope this forum members and all senior's could help me to progress my entrepreneurship.
