Who am I? Is this life sufficient to know that? The inner search started as soon as I was born and the search is still continuing.

For the materialistic world I am a daughter, sister, wife , daughter in law, sister in law and a mother.

By profession I am an advocate though I have stopped practicing for no rhyme or reason the moment I start questioning some one it comes out on its own.

I help people in their relationships by counseling.

I love to interact with people and enjoy having good friends .

I love music , reading and friendship.

Let us be friends and enjoy the life which is short and sweet.

Indu

And as you can guess from my user name I have a soft spot for Victorian romance novels

I joined this forum to get more information on Indian culture, recipes, health-related issues and maybe contribute a different angle to some of your discussions.

While browsing this forum and also while living in India I noticed the rather desastrous image "Westerners" seem to have among some of you. Increasing divorce rates in India? That´s because of "Westernisation". Indian girls wearing scanty dresses? Certainly an effect of "Westernisation"?I´m not quite getting what "Westerner" actually means. There are huge cultural difference between an Australian, an American and a European but apparently we´re all considered the same. I found that a little sad. I for example come from an extremely close-knit family which according to what some of you are writing here doesn´t even exist in Europe
Anyway, I´m hoping for interesting discussions with you and hopefully I can help a little to represent "Westerners" as people with values and cultures.

I´m also ready to provide help and information for people visiting or living in Germany.

Dear janeeyre, Suganthasugi, vidyavati and GeethaR,

Welcome to the IndusLadies community! Please go through our www.indusladies.com/welcome and our forum etiquette at www.indusladies.com/fe for help in navigating our site.

Jane: It is indeed great to have you here with us to provide a much needed perspective to some of the discussions going on in the sub forums. :) When people make patronizing assumptions about you or your culture even without knowing a single thing about it, it is indeed frustrating. It happens even in the US to many Indians and so I can relate to your statements quite well...

Hoping to see more of you here Jane...:)

Suganthasugi: Thanks for the uplifting message..

vidyavati: Pls check out our Toddlers - IndusLadies section to interact with other toddler mommies..:)

GeethaR: Please check out our Hobbies, Arts & Crafts - IndusLadies section to find some useful information relating to your hobbies...

Have fun here all of you and happy browsing!
