I am an IndusGent the spouse of Sundarusha who has been a member of this forum for a while now. I wonder if IndusGents should be a parallel forum for the spouses to air/share their views!

I am Emma from Trivandrum, Kerala. I am married and have two chilldren - a boy and a girl (both students). I work as an Administrative Officer for the Centre for Management Development. My husband is at present unemployed. I go into this site by looking for a design for the kadai kamal embroidery. I love hand work and my main hobbies are crocheting, tatting and hand embroidery (I love kutch work and kadai kamal). I also love to cook (especially trying out new receipes).

Its very interesting to see description given to karadayan nonmbu . I was searching for the slokam that my patti taught me, I thank Chitra, for writing that sloka it brought back lot of memories. I was brought up in chennai ,I used to watch my mom and grandma do but never took it seriously . After coming to US everything changed. I started showing more interest in following our culture. I realised what Iam missing here so I started to know the meanings of each thing we follow in our culture.r Thanks to you all ladies.
