| Hi to all, I am Lata. I came across this site while surfing and found it quite interesting. I am from Mumbai, employed. I work as a secretary. I have a daughter who is married and son who is in his last year of postgraduation. Many a times I feel lonely since I lost my hubby all of a sudden. I spend time on the internet, that is when I came across this interesting site. One thing I noticed that most of the members seem to be from U.S. I would like to know reliable sites for work from home, if someone can recommend. Lata |

| Hello friends, My name is Richa Vala. I registered to this community couple of months back, but introducing myself on this forum today only. I grew up in Gujarat, but my roots belong to North India. So, I have best of those two worlds. After my marriage, I came to U.S. Initially, I used to feel very unhappy ,as I missed all my family members, Besides, for everything, I was dependent on my husband (though he was and is very understanding one!). So, first thing I did was got the driving license ( a must thing in this part of world). I used to drive 2 & 4 wheelers in India, but really never gave that much importance to it. After that, I felt like I'm in heaven. I took hobby classes, went to shopping places and did all sorts of fun activities. In addition to this, I used to travel with my husband worldwide but then finally decided to get the U.S. degree and then went to college. Now, back to real world. It's been seven years in U.S. now ,but still I miss India a lot. I have a 3year old boy- Aryaman . Currently, I do multitasking jobs such as chauffering my boy to different classes, cooking ,managing social relations, maintaining our home etc. In addition to this, I am a student of Bioinformatics course from UIC. Playing different roles is not an easy task. It's tiring, but, then, I try to do what makes me happy, like surfing the net- I love that- for recipes and listening lively songs. So this is me, friends. Looking forward for a healthy long-term relationship with this community. With Good Wishes, Richa |
