anything everyday or in excess is harmful...

if your daughters are in their teens and have irreg periods, best would be to see a Dr

having papaya, sugarcane, jaggery etc can be had in one off cycles to induce periods...

papaya, sesame, pineapple are period inducing agents and increase body heat. So be moderate.

Horsegram also helps in regulating periods especially when they are boiled like how we do jeera water but again this also increase body heat hence have it moderately. (can give tender coconut, or overnight soaked methi seeds + curd)

as they have PCOS be watchful with their sugar intake

    hi Vatsinaname
I checked this with my mother.
papaya juice should be given moderately but with out fail every day. It contains enzyme papain. can be taken with out sugar / less sugar ; date syrup or honey can be added. preferably can be taken in eve times i.e., after their return from school.
This juice is best known to relieve back pains occur during periods but for some it works for irregular periods.
If you able to try this, don't forget to post the results here

    Dear vatsinaname,
I used to have irregular periods all my life. I found out that i had PCOS and also a fibroid in my uterus. I would suggest u make ur daughters visit a gynac. Also make changes in lifestyle, balanced weight, light exercise, fresh fruits and vegetables, limited intake of sweet foods (sugar, processed foods, sweets) etc, can make a huge difference.
