HOW TO KEEP NAIL POLISH FROM CHIPPING: Every one who wants long and beautiful nails is always afraid of nail chipping. To avoid nail chipping one should always keep her nails clean. Natural oil i.e, oil secreted by our body is one of the reasons that lead to it. In order to save nails from natural oils one should apply polish remover regularly even though there is no polish on nails. This will make nails free from natural oil. Do not forget to wash hands after applying remover or it can prove even worse.
Cleaning nails
- Soak the hands in a luke warm water.
- Add lemon to it.
- Keep your hands in the water for 5-7 minutes.
- One can do the same thing to clean toe nails also. It will also make you feel relax.
- Take the nails out of the water.
- Wrap one edge of an orange wood stick with cotton.
- Wet the cotton and then use it to clean the nails.
- After cleaning it apply a moisturizing cream or a lotion.
- Never push your cuticles. It causes infection.
Shaping nails
- For shaping the nails never use the filer provided with the nail cutter. It will roughen your nails. Purchase a proper filer.
- While shaping nails never exert pressure. This is an act that should be performed smoothly and carefully.
- One should not move the filer from one edge of the nail to the other. Bring the filer till middle and then take it back to the corner.
- Fingernails should be trimmed straight across then slightly curved from the top.
Applying nail paint
- Before applying the new nail polish, remove the old one by using the remover. Not removing the previous nail polish will give you a messy result. Also, it will lead to chipping.
- Wash your hands again and then dry them up nicely.
- Apply base coat on your nails. It will increase the durability of the nail polish. Once it dries up your nails will be ready to be polished.
- Do not forget to apply the top coat after applying the nail polish. In fact, one is recommended to use top coat everyday for shining nails.
A healthy diet is necessary for healthy nails. Make sure that you have enough of vitamin, calcium, minerals and a lot of water. Remember that vitamin and mineral rich food strengthens your nail.
