Hi! Sunkan,

I've not been very regular visiting IL these days.Something or the other cropping up with me.But today I said to myself that I must see what's happening at IL.What do I see?this beautiful song.

U wont believe it,I had heard a friend sing it long back when I was in college and suddenly out of the blue after so many years,I felt like listening to this song.I didnt know whom to ask here.Then for some cultural event,we were trying to get the kids together and dance and somebody had brought cassette.I was thrilled to hear this song which was played accidently and she realised that I was looking for it and then she gifted the cassette to me.Since I don't know the meaning,I even got the meaning today.Thanks a lot for that.

What a wonderful song,lyric i luv this song i luv this to the core even my kid is a great fan of this song, thatoo sung by LEGEND M.S.SUBBULAKSHMI, i feel hearing this song,almost daily and its like somebody really soothing our pains caring for us and giving encouragement etc etc

Hi kritty,

it is a ragamalika. Pallavi, anupallavi, charanam 1 - shivaranjani
charanam 2 and 3 - kaapi
charanam 4 and 5 - sindu bhairavi.

Whenever I listen to or sing this song myself I get engorsed deeply and tears start flowing uncontrollably and it takes a long time to bring back myself.

Thousand namaskarams to Rajaji
and
Tencrores to MS Amma for such a beautiful rendering

Thought I cannot understand tamil,this song is one of my favs.I have the Venkateswara pancharatnamala collection by Mrs.M S Subbulakshmi and she has sung this song with so much devotion,thanks for posting the lyrics as well as meaning.I am going to bookmark this right away:)

Hi Sunkan,
I love this song very very very much. During difficult and hard times
I used to sing the song loudly. It gave peace and will give peace.
I can`t control my tears before the end of the song.
