suggest good for song for invocation.. pls

hey l'lites,

can you please help in finding a good semi or pure classical song to be sung for a invocation... any suggestions would be a great help as I see there is lot of music lovers here and hopefully i would get some help and advise.

invocation song means to be sung prior to some auspicious occation or some kind of convention programmes, we begin the programme with an auspicious song ... for eg. usually we sing song on lord ganesh... hope i could clarify...

There are lot of ganapahti songs that can be sung for invocation. i have heard people singing vakrathunda in a semi classical way.

Are you looking at only ganapathi .

I would suggest the song "Humko mann ki sakhti dena" from a hindi movie (I don't remember movie name though). I very well remember Jaya Bachhan singing that song in school uniform.

Just wanted to know from the music lovers if they can suggest me some more songs so that I can sing some variety, ( even hindi song is good for me).

hey maalik tere bande ham-------movie- do aankhen barah haath
swagatham subha swagatham---- this was a song compiled for the 1st asian games in india i think 1980's............ chk out.

" OM TAT SAT SHREE NARAYAN TOO, PURUSHOTAM GURU TOO....." it covers all the gods and also the religions

u can hear this song in any songs site , movie name is "happy days" telugu movie. hope it helps u...

You can definitely try Humko man ki shakthi dena...When me and my friend sung it for a college culturals as invocation, everyone were very pleased.Its a beautiful, meaning ful song.
