Hi Ladies,

aisa lagta hai zindagi tum ho
ajnabee kaise ajnabee tum ho

ab koi aarzoo nahin baakee
justjoo meri aakhri tum ho

main zameen par ghana andhera hoon
aasmaanoN ki chandni tum ho

dostoN se wafa ki ummeedeN
kis zamaane ke aadmi tum ho

I like ghazals.The first song I heard was 'Chitti aayi...'. Very interesting to see all the posts here....Thanks for the links...

do you know the Talat Aziz number from Umrao Jaan ,
if you do please add it here.. it is one of my favourites,,,,I have forgotten some of it..



zindagi jab bhi teri bazm mein latee hai hamein,,
yeh zameen chaand se behtar nazar aati hai hamein,

har mulakaat ka anjaam judaai kyun hai,
ab to har waqt yahee baat sataati hai hamein,

thats a gr8 thread u've started. i am a gr8 fan of ghazals too esp 'cause of the beautiful lyrics.
My favorite is " woh chaudhavin ki raat thi". i have heard that song from many voices but non can beat jagjit singh.
I also love his "woh kagaz ki kashti" & "chitti ayee hai"by pankaj udhaas.
for that matter i am attracted to film songs more 'cause of their lyrics.
