Ghazals lovers here???

Same pinch should I say. I agree yaar Kya Mehfil Jami hain.Ive been humming since morning .Hubby's wondering kya baaat hain

Aruna lets have a mehfil whenever you come down,.We can all gather and sing a ling a ling.. What do you say?

I like ghazals too. My all time favorites are Jagjit Singh's -

1) Ye daulat bhi le lo, ye shohrat bhi le lo......vo khagaz ki khashti, vo baarish ka paani.
2) Agar hum kahe aur vo muskuraaye

Good to see so many Ghazal lovers.... i am not ardent listener of ghazals though i like to hear them.

Have anybody heard Hariharan's old Ghazal Album "Gulfam".... this is one album when Hariharan is at his best. i would recommend everyone to hear it
Other than that my Fav would be Pankaj Udhas,Jagjit singh And i even like some collections of Roop Kumar rathod and his wife too.

I love Ghazals.I am big fan of Jagjit singh.Just listening to his voice makes me feel good at any moment.
My favourites are
Jagjit Singh's-- woh Khagaz ki kashti, jhuki jhuki si nazar, koi fariyaad

Pankaj Udhas --Chiththi aayee hai, Aahista.

and Hariharan's album Gulfam.

This one is by Mirza Ghalib , I think so?

I looooooove Ghazals. Well, I love music - period! And yes, I am a die-hard Ghazal fan too.

Jagjit Singh is undoubtedly the king. His soothing voice calms me no matter how bad my nerves are at that moment. Pankaj Udhas's ghazals remind me of my childhood days. He was very popular then. Jagjit Singh came a little latter.

Devika, yup, Adnan Sami has a great voice too.

I have heard many of them live and the experience is heavenly. I get so emotional when I hear them live that I tell my husband I want to leave all this maya-jaal and surrender myself to music. Hasn't happened yet! Of course, I listen to some or the other music every day on my drive to and from work.

Some Ghazals that I absolutely love in any mood and that immediately come to mind are -

Well dear ilites I am mad about ghazals n lovely shairy...
All those sing beautiful ghazals r my fav..I have lovely collection of ghazals n shairees that I have written in my notebook..Above one is from Veer zarraa movie..I like the line..Chaha tha kya, paya hai kya hum ne dekhiye...It can b taken in an either way..When u r happy the line seems to make u full ...N when u r sad or down, the line seems to make u empty...

N about the ghazal sung by udhass jee..Ek taraf us ka ghar ,Ek taraf main khada..
Well during our school days ..v friends use to sing..Ek taraf us ka ghar ek taraf..... WOH GHADHA..
N don't ask woh ghadha kaun tha...
