What you have taken up is a herculean task and I am sure you 'll be successful in this venture.

Why don't you encourage the readers to request lyrics for specific songs?

What a fantastic idea ! It was great going through all these beautiful songs that you have so painstakingly posted here in the different languages,
As a school girl because of my mother's insistence I had learnt carnatic vocal for 5years or so . Those days I never liked this forced attendance whenever the music teacher came to teach at home.......7.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.three times a week.
But now, years later I am so thankful that I did what was forced upon me because now I can appreciate and enjoy good carnatic performances .Listening and appreciating has its own pleasure one doesn't have to be able to sing like an MSor MLV to enjoy.These days I'm watching the program Idea Star Singer in Asianet ...the program has excellent judges who speak about the songs rendered and analyse the ragas and talas etc.,
Thanks for sharing such gems here.....only a beautiful person like you can do such a generous thing like this.

its a revelation and i tried getting teachers even after i got married and he would teach only geetham by the time varnam comes his marriage gets fixed thrice this happened so left it and took up light music
