No sorry. it is a mistake lot of us make..that is why understanding of the language plays a vital role. MSS had tutors to teach her pronunciations..in fact when Gandhiji had requested her to sing a bhajan, she initially refused on the context of pronunciation of a new language..later she learnt and sang the song, for his birthday.

Hey aishu, checked with mio site, there mss sings in madyamavathi. and sri varalakshmi she sings in sri ragam.

But it can be sung in either of this, though originally it was composed in sri ragam i suppose...
