I have started learning tailoring. Can anyone pls help me with places in Mumbai from where i can buy cheap dress materials?

cheap dress materials is available in buleshwar market , manish market in cst around that area you have merchants selling clothes in lot at wholesale prices

For cheap dress material i suggest Mohammed Ali road.....there's a BIG place whr ppl are selling materials at cheap prices like 30 rs/mtr....50 rs /mtr etc....trust me these materials are good to buy and stich salwars for home wear paticularly for this summer.... i 've been to that place several times.....it's a little way down from manish market......

1) Hindmata cloth market
2) Mangaldas market
3)Thakur cut piece (for mix -n-match) @ Bandra (near Globus Mall)

Hindmata Cloth Market is very cheap. Mangaldas Market is also very cheap.

Manish Market is another big hub.

All malls pick materials from these markets and sell at exhorbitant prices including the readymade clothes.

Even big names which I do not want to mention here, buy from here, tag their label and sell................

Thank you ladies for all the information. I was thinking can we continue this thread by posting details of areas/shops where we can buy clothes at reasonable/wholesale price............I found many of the expensive clothes we buy from malls are actually of low quality.
