Default Can you Imagine Mumbai without Vada Paav?

Definitely the answer would be no.Still I want replies from all of you especially Mumbaikars.Lets share all the fast food varieties of Mumbai.

Food is a way of life in Bombay and defines the city to a very large extent.
Vada Paav is an Indian vegetarian fast food commonly eaten in Maharashtra.
And it is very much popular in Mumbai.Bombey is reknown for its food specialities.
The three unique food items listed below will gauranteed bring saliva gushing in your mouth. And you will need to eat a Vada Pav, Bhel Puri and Pav Bhaji.

Vada Pav is also the poor man’s food. You can called it potato burger. It is sold at roadside stalls all over in Mumbai. The best vada pav is had at the street side and not in some fancy restaurant. Yuo can't select the best vada pav stall in Bombay. It will create confusion amongst friends and family. I like Hindu Colony's Vada Paav very much. The size of the vada is big and comes with soft pav and amazing chutney.

My mouth watering already!!

Eeeeek Mrignayani.....What are you upto? This would be disastrous

Y'day you took me down memory lane with Ma's puja & today this? My home town without Vada pav?

Hey kay Anarth? Mumbai will collapse without it's fav fast food....

Yummmm! The hot piping vadas in between pavs & served with generous helping of Hari Mirch & Lasoon Chatni......

Aho, where will our Mamas (policewalas) go for their Jeevan?

My fav vada pav adda was & still is the canteen @ my College Parle College now called Sathye College.....

Cannot get the taste out of my mind.....It used to be a regular in my place during rainy & winter season....

In fact the regional parties will collapse without the signature dish of Mumbai...

Some other noteworthy places : Datta Aroghya Bhavan in Dadar & of course Khopoli

Regards,

Corallux

Hi Ladies,

I just loved the topic. I am a Tamilian who spent her childhood in Mumbai. I was there for 12 yrs.
I love the bhelpuri, pani puri, vada pav, sabudana vada... hmmm... just the names and the thought of Mumbai takes me back to all those days.
Now i am in Chennai and recently found that Adyar Ananda Bhavan at Shastri Nagar, Adyar has good vada pavs (my thanks to AAB as its affly called)
My daughter who is 4.5yrs takes a liking bhelpuri without mirchi though!!!!!!!

Hi all,

I remembering my college days.I never bored with vada Paav. But in US I bored with burgers.

Definitely Vada paav are the "Mumbai ki jaan"

When I was searching job I choose Mumbai city. You know why?

Exactly Because of Vada paav(no problem of BF,Lunch Dinner),Local train.

In Mumbai people learn proper "time management"

So No one can imagine Mumbai without Vada Paav

Hi all,

I am very thankful to all of you.
Definitely yaar no one can imagine Mumbai without Vada Paav.
But friends some of us really don't know about vada paav So would like a brief idea about vada paav and where you can find delicious Vada Paav.

Vada pav is served hot with pav, green chutney and sweet tamarind .

Vada Pav is an Indian vegetarian fast food commonly eaten in Maharashtra, India. It consists of a vada, served in a bun (pav). The vada is usually potato-based. Potatoes are mashed/diced and coated with an herb-seasoned batter, then deep-fried. The finished vada is then wrapped in bread and served with condiments such as chutney and red chili powder.

You can fine Vada Paav-
Andheri (west)

1) Outside the station near the foot over bridge going to Andheri east.
Vile Parle

1) Outside the station about 4 shops from the station on the left a good hygienic Gujarati place.

2) Opposite Mithibai college.

Mrignayni,

Correction..It should be outside the Mithibai college & not opposite.

None better than me to certify since I've graduated fm Mithibai.
