| Hi Sudha I have seen provoked and namesake, and i must say i was impressed and touched by both the movies... in provoked the battered aishwarya rai and how she emerges and gets a life of her own... and knowing that its a true story adds that extra special feel to it... Namesake again was good, seeing lives of NRIs and how their children dont turn up well... and again seeing them transforming was good... but ya rightly said nothing new... seeing the movie u cant say that u havent seen or heard this happening before u saw the movie... and regarding cheenikum havent seen yet. will chek out soon ~Abha |

| Hey Sudha, I haven't yet seen the first two, but got hubby dear take me and daughter watch Cheeni kum on my birthday last week ;) We all enjoyed it thoroughly. Hubby dear got hiccups as he was busy laughing away I also liked the little girl in it very much. But it is difficult to accept the situation in real life (was easy to accept on screen). best, hasita

| dear sudha, i hve seen provoked andnamesake provoked, did provoke me too being a feminist i hate all these ill treatment especially when he takes the iron box to her face u feel like smashing him. and name sake in a subtle way the hero has left behind a vast contribution, tabu's helplessness and the son's awakening after the father's death is something to think of, some people only wake up when the person is gone...waiting for the dvd for cheeni kum could not make it with the family as i left the heater on had to come back, and the songs are all old ones from kannada, jotheyali, jotheyali, iruvenu heegey yendu, shankarnag movie, one more is from mouna ragam, ilayaraja could had done better justice to the songs, though they say jotheyali has been picturised very well, and my article u would see, on our grt guys, all spruced up after cheeni kum. Amitabh has liven up and their outlook[old guys] to the youngsters who are subtle in making fun of them, there is a drastic change...love sundari |

| Dear Sudha, I haven't watched any of the movies but been hearing a lot of them. As far Cheeni Kum, the age difference is acceptable to some extent - we do see such marriages happen for whatever reasons but it can never happen if the women is elder, that situation is understandable, anyway. Sundari, yes, I too love that kannada song, jotheyali. It's a beautiful song... i did hear the tune in hindi but immediately identified the original kannada song. Chitrajan, I do love that tamil song, kuzhaloodhum kannanukku kuyil paadum paatu kekkudha - forgot the name of the movie but do know it's the kokila mohan amala & Radha starrer. I haven't heard the same tune in hindi yet. shall chk it out next time I hear. After hearing from you all, I do feel like watching these movies. Let me check out with my video shop guy here. Regards,
