I was lucky, as were many hundreds of girls of Cotton Hill Girls High School, Vazhuthacaud, Trivandrum, to listen to hear voice everyday - she used to sing the prayer daily. Also during competitions, we listened to her in rapt attention and when she won in some state level contests, the HM made her sing the same song at school assembly also.
And further more, we all used to travel to school in the same bus mostly, we lived in the same part of the city. Beena too used to sing well, but stopped after marriage.
I like almost all her songs, especially the songs in Nandanam. |

the way you had written was almost like talking to you in person...her daughter's name is nandhana.... I have read somewhere that she conceived soon after she sang the very famous krishna song in the movie nandanam....
