What is the most scary Horror movie you have ever watched?

Dear All,
There are lot more scary horror movies in different regional languages. When it comes to English, the horror movies are really bit scary for the first time. Some movies are not really Horror but they come under scary movies. E.g The Craft, The Believers.

Some of us will not watch Horror movies. I think its one of our fear factor. Even though some of the horror movies are not scary to watch.

• What is the most scary horror movie you have ever watched?
• How about watching a scary horror movie in the dark that too all alone before going to bed? Would you prefer it?

I dont watch horror/scary movies.I did not sleep for a week and did not go for "loo" in the night time after I watched "Chandramuki".

Let me share my response.

I love to watch all sorts of English movies. Especially I like scary horror movies. I've seen lots and lots of scary horror movies. To list a few: Evil dead, Resident evil, 13 ghosts, Alien Vs Predators, The night of the living dead, Van Helsing and lot of Chinese Vampire movies.

Some of the movies are quite different from horror movies but they are bit scary to watch. Such as The Believers, The craft, The Grudge, I know what you did last summer, The Urban Legend, End of days.

How about watching a scary horror movie in the dark that too all alone before going to bed? Would you prefer it?

Yes, It is so thrilling. But after watching it I'll get into Very bad nightmares.

And the most scary horror movie I've ever watched was "The Descent".
Because I watched the movie before going to bed all alone in the dark. Once the movie got over, my fingers were trembling. I've never had such feelings. It took nearly 10 minutes to get back from it. No Nightmares. I think if I watch the movie again, I won’t get such trembling effects.

I stopped watching horror movies these days because they deprive me of my sleep and i get nightmares.
The most scary horror movie i saw was Evil dead when i was doing my schooling, oh my god i could not sleep for a week after seeing this movie

Omen is not so horror but little scary to watch. In Tamil, they have remaked the movie - jenma natchatram.

I saw evil dead during my UG graduation only. Little scary movie.
Yes, The Grudge movie is ofcourse scary. Its fully because of the sound effects. I saw the movie by changing the channels often.
I think 'Shock' is the tamil remake of the movie.

Scary movies..where do i start and stop. my MIL, DH, and kids all love to watch horror.

when mil was alive, DD and DS will sit with her and watch omen, tulasi dhalam, yaar and others.

over the years, we have seen so many..final destination all parts, chainsaw massacres,and many others...

but one movie did scare me a little. it was the ring...though not sure why??

Chainsaw Massacre bit scary for the first time.
At home, No one likes to watch horror movies except my sister and I. Even my sister wont watch some scary movies during night time that too before going to bed.
