Woh Lamhe Movie Review

This is a movie based on real life love relationship of Mahesh Bhatt and Late Parveen Babi. It's a tribute of Mahesh Bhat to her beloved Parveen Babi who died recently in anonimity. There was noone to even take the body of this fine superstar of her time Parveen Babi and Mahesh Bhat then remembered the golden days spent with her. Mahesh Bhat is known to make movies on his real life. But I feel that this relation was so personal. Should it be shown in public especially when Parveen Babi is no more??? After all it was also her life story and she might not have been comfortable showing her personal life on screen?

This is not the first movie on Love relationship of Mahesh Bhat and late Parveen Babi. He has made Arth and Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Aayi which dealt with similar stories where the upcoming movie director is in love with an established actress and she is shown psychic at the end of the movie due to her loneliness at the top. Parveen Babi suffered similar trauma and this is Mahesh Bhat's one more tribute to her in Woh Lamhe.

I saw Woh Lamhe. I found this as good movie. The star cast is also good, low profile stars perform better than overly ranked Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta. Shiny Ahuja brings life to his role as Mahesh Bhat and the new star Kangana is excellent. She has a bright future. A few shots do make you sit up. The party shot when Kangana throws her undergarment at Shiny and her rape by Shaad thereafter is shot brilliantly. And the conflict between Kangana's mother and Shiny at the hospital for her shock treatment is worth watching.

This movie is a one time see for movie-lovers :)

I agree with you completely. True love is such a tender relationship, it should not be commercialised for whatever reasons, especially when Parveen Babi had gone through an ordeal and nobody to claim her body. I dont remember Mahesh Bhatt coming forward to give her a decent burial. If the relationship had a happy ending than it would have been a different story.

This relationship is a tragedy gone sour.
