It was so nice reading all this yaar.. me no movie seeing person.. so have no clue who you are talking about other then Bridgewater temple dont know anything in your writing.. still enjoyed reading and the replies are nice too. Looks like many have gotten autographs from celebritites. I didnt understand why she wouldnt give an autograph inside the temple. People talk inside the temple dont they? so whats with the signing

It is wonderful to read that you actually got to meet Sneha, but dissapointed that she refused to sign autograph inside the temple (that is weird)

I also read the news that they were in USA for a tamil movie shooting. But didn't know the city.

As for me, I had met Kamal, Jayaprada and Mohan during my school days. :) I don't have any celebrity friends or relatives..but happened to meet them during shooting at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan auditorium (this is in Myalore, Chennai) They usually rent out this place for shootings and functions (during school holidays)

Guess, you would have heard the movie "Salangai Oli" starring Kamal and Jayapradha. I loved the movie for Kamal's graceful dance movements and Jaya prada looked absolutely gorgeous. She had come to BVB for some telugu movie shooting. With full enthu, I approached her accompanied by my mom.
2 dissapointments for me-
she did not look as beautiful as in the movies- later realised that some people are photogenic and because of the camera/lights/makeup they look out of this world in the movies.
In my hurry, forgot to take the autograph book, so got a piece of paper..she replied..."No paapers" ( read "pa" as pronounced in pan,pad etc ) Since i was so young, was also sensitive and walked away. From then on, sort of didn't like her much ! We form such a high opinion about people when we see them on screen, but in reality, when it doesn't match, we drop them down from the pedestal !!

As for Kamal, he had come to BVB for a small function organised by S.Ve.Shekar. No doubt, he looked so handsome, without a tinge of makeup. Just as he was leaving, crowd gathered around him for autographs...and he was in a hurry. My mom leaned to give the autograph book to him (among so many in the crowd) But you won't believe, he just took only our autograph book from my mom's hand, signed , flashed a smile and left. Others were so surprised (including us). Immediately they looked at his signature in our book and said that we were lucky !

Mohan...again he was there for a shooting....I went there with my brother, sat for about 5 min. Since it was boring and getting crowded, we returned home.

Had seen actress Sukanya once in the Hanumar temple in Mandaveli. She had come there with her mom. She looked more pretty and slim than we see in movies.

When we were living in Bay area, California, had acquainted actress Jayashree (right now she is in Chennai for her brother's wedding and had been compering in one of Radan's productions too- i guess it was Shriman shrimathi...)
She is a simple and down to earth person, with absolutely no artificial airs or put on accent. Such a lovely lady..she talked with me during several occassions, even went to her home as she had invited me for "nombu ceremony".

She had been living in US for so many years now, but very level headed, helpful and gives friendly tips, suggestions and advice. She converses with me only in Tamil just like our family members. Never had the feeling that I was talking to an actress or a person who had been in US for so many years.

Makes us realise, definitely we can emulate good qualities from another person.

looks like i've gobbled up a big space here and sorry if I've bored you, Supriya ! :) But since you asked.....

Will try to recollect any more encounters...oh oh...I see you trying to escape....:)

Hi Krithi..No probs..you are allowed to write here..Nice to know about your experience with stars..Here is my turn to bore you..
From the time I can recall the incidents the first shooting I saw was starring Amala and Nagarjuna for telugu movie..forgot its name..Shiva I think..My parents took me to a studio in chennai to see.
We got tickets to see Filmfare awards..There we could see whole bunch of stars..But i remember vividly only kushboo..very cute..
On the way to trivandrum we say actress Rekha..for a malayalam movie..I have the photo taken with her..
We went for dinner to Le Meridian..I saw Kamal sitting in the lounge.Just a smile..My dad's friend stopped us from going and talking to him..He was very handsome and goes as per your description..Rumours said he was waiting for simran that day..It was during the time of Panchathantram ..
Recently,3-4 years back, On ECR the shooting of "University" movie song.Hero Jeevan was not there..just group..
You know karaikudi is always flooded with cine stars and shooting..My cousins have seen jothika,vikram for the movie AAru..

Nice to know that you have met a tamil actress here . Eager to watch the movie as we could see some known places .

As for my experience...........when i was in 10th std i had been to a shooting in Cbe .......Prabu Deva , Gemini .........forgot the movie name . The shooting was in my neighbours office building and so he took us . It was real fun

Happy to hear that you all had met some of our South Indian film stars .. Lucky you Krithika, met Mohan ... I am great Fan of him ... But, felt weird with the activity of Sneha and Jayapradha ... I haven't met any of the film stars ... My mom has met our Super star and Kamal when I was young and took photos too ... But, it should be some where in my home (chennai) or she would have lost it .. I don't know ... But she said our SS was very kind person to speak ... that time I was not interested and don't know much about them ... now when I hear ... hmm what a lucky mom she met SS ... My hubby is Great fan of him ... He loves to meet him SS once in his life ...
