I dont know if you guys loved the song 'vaadi raasathi'. It is penned by my friend Vivek Velmurugan. He was my schoolmate. Proud of him. In this pic Vivek and his wife with Surya and Jyothika. He is a budding lyricist. Please support him

Nice concept to explore, but as movie overall I din't like it much.... :bonk:hide: But liked that Vadi Rasathi song, esp the male version... :thumbsup
I didnt like the movies as well. She is working, taking care of in laws plus a daughter. What else do a women need. Keep doing more and more? And the husbands wont do anything more than working. Uff! when will women relax? I thought this was about house wives and their problems. why should we run a marathon at the age of 36? puriley? OMG Organic veg? Nowadays these are also available but at higher cost. Its like world is going on the opposite direction. There were times when people were fed up worms inside brinjal and mangoes. We always looked fprward to eat washington apples in India. Now when thats available in india now we says its covered with wax. But this is edible wax. We forget that if it was not covered by wax then it would get spoiled by the time reached the market then it would be a huge loss to farmers. At the end the film says women have to do more than being a working women. Inspite of taking care of in laws, kids do more?:bowdown:bang Are we machines?
I think they were trying to tell about our individual identity that's being lost somewhere along the journey of being the homemaker, the parent, trying to live up to a husbands expectations, all the while forgetting our very own desires / passions, having nothing for us that defines who we are beyond being a homemaker / parent / wife. Nothing wrong abt trying to convey that, but organic garden? Still fine. But what is bothering is just devoting last few minutes of the film to show that all... Seemed hurried up, plus little unconvincing that she achieved all that in a very short period... A real life case could have happened & this was inspired from one such real story... Wish they had established this in a diff manner... This is just my opinion...
Whatever it is.. it jus kindled the passion to do something more than job, care taker n mom.. wish to find some time for myself.....
Even i am not convinced about the story movement. To bring sympathy on the heroine, they made the hero unpractical. What did he want her to do more that having a government job. He is also working in AIR and what he is going to do in netherland with a 13 yr old girl without her mother? 18 houses terrace garden producing vegetables for 2000 ppl in 2 months?? IS this an achivement to be honoured by the president? Even before thinking of doing something different she gave a video talk in FB who made fun on her? Not felt convincing with the illogical scenes. Thats song is really good..esp lyrics..
