+ 1. If we are allowed to ban someone from appearing on screen (tv screen notwithstanding), then please ban T.Rajendar! If seeing him in movies is bad enough, watching him hosting tv programmes and judging reality shows are even worse :rant

While I agree to a certain extent, it would be good to know why you disliked this movie.

I say certain extent because I feel that way for most Shankar movies. It doesn't fall under the like or dislike category for me. Songs and grandeur are good. Lot of fluff otherwise.

Also, on the topic of directors, there seems to be lot of over-rated directors.

The media is going gaga over AR murugadoss. Really? Ghajini, Thuppaki?? One is a bad copy and other is a lot of build up and no delivery. Also, better not to talk about 7aam arivu or Ramana.

How about Gautam Menon? Kakha Kakha was quiet okay. But everything else was bad. VTV? Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu? Minnale?

Mysskin might be the only director who has given some consistency with Anjathey, Onnayum Aatukuttiyum and Yudham Sei. The others failed to impress me, but he can strive to make good movies.

Apart from Gentleman, all of Shankar's films fall under the dislike category for me. I don't have reasons to dislike his films. I just dislike them.

I agree and carry similar view on Shankar movies. Bits and pieces from his movies have worked for me like certain sequences in mudhalvan, anniyan, indian, but as a whole not much.

watched alaipayudhey recently.though shalini looks fine,I thought it would have been awesome if nithya menon would have done that role! now,I will be asked as to how it is possible as she must be a 11 yr old probably.i agree..just a thought, supposing nithya menon was an actress around that time, she would have done more justice as it would have been convincing as to why maddy was desperate for the girl.nithya is a natural beauty, looks stunning sans makeup and not the typical model looks.the movie would have been even a bigger hit with her.second choice was meera jasmine.
