Farah Khan Delivers Two Daughters & One Son




Super director of biggest blockbuster films MEIN HOON NA and OM SHANTI OM, Farah Khan is ready once again to celebrate the moment whole heartedly, as she delivered triplets - one son and two daughters - at Mumbai's Jaslok Hospital this morning. It was a Caesarian delivery.

And throughout the night, Farah's husband Shirish Kunder and her brother Sajid Khan were beside her at the time of the delivery.

Sajid Khan told us both his sister and the babies were in good health.

Today as Farah Khan gave birth to her triplets, seems all her pains and efforts have been paid off for!

February 12, 2008 - After great expectation comes the big news. Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan, who delivered 2007’s biggest hit with Om Shanti Om, yesterday morning delivered triplets amidst family and friends at Jaslok Hospital.
Farah and husband Shirish Kunder, a director himself, became proud parents when she delivered two girls and a boy around 9.15 am. Within minutes, news channels got wind of the delivery and Peddar Road was jammed with traffic as OB vans took up positions outside the hospital’s gates.
Since, giving birth to triplets is the rarest case and to avoid any mishap Farah was admitted to the hospital much before the delivery date. Farah and her husband had jointly chosen February11 for the delivery because it is considered to be very auspicious and would bring good luck to the babies.
Last month a grand function was organized to mark the occasion of ‘Baby Shower’ (Goodd Bharai). The ceremony was organized by Shahrukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan and Karan Johar at Shahrukh’s bungalow. Shahrukh and Karan Johar are like family members of Farah Khan. They are also glad to receive the news.
The young mother was still under sedation when BT called to congratulate her. Husband Shirish was too delirious to step outside the delivery room and take the call. But Farah’s brother, the rumbustious Bollywood comedian and director Saajid Khan, engaged us in conversation. “We are mighty thrilled... can’t explain our happiness. I have become a mama,” he said proudly.




First it was a Mercedes. Now, sources tell us, Shah Rukh Khan has gifted friend Farah Khan a custom-made pram for her three babies, big enough, they joke, to be compared with the Tata Nano!

While SRK was on a tour to London, he checked out Harrods for a pram to gift Farah, and found that you only get readymade prams for twins, not triplets. So he had one especially made to order for Farah's two girls and one boy. Incidentally, Shah Rukh and Gauri were among the first few visitors after the delivery. The visit was, of course a great treat for all the staff at the hospital. They lined up to meet the Khan, while he peered dotingly at the three cute new additions to his friend circle.

The pram is really large, one in which all the three babies can fit in comfortably, along with their baby things. Says our source, "Farah has loved the pram gifted to her by SRK. Her only worry is that a pram of that size will only fit on her terrace, she certainly cannot wheel it out on our footpathless Mumbai roads."

After the Mercedes, which he gave Farah after the completion of the shoot of their film Om Shanti Om, this is SRK's second magnum-sized gift to his friend.

great to know of Farah Khans delivery. i have liked both her movies -main hoon na and om shanthi om and also her spirited interviews. both movies were unashamedly bollywood and great watching!! and ofcourse featured the indominatable Khan.
may she have many happy hours with the three and also hopefully find time to direct more bollywood entertainers

Lucky Farahkhan...all the three kids in nine months time.

I always wish to have as many kids as possible in one-nine month period ;)
