Karisma, Kareena introduce the next Kapoor

To be born in a filmy family and then being raised in the perpetual world of cinema is not much of news. But when the family’s surname reads as ‘Kapoor’, then, it instantly makes a whole world of difference. Karisma and Kareena are no different. Even though they have the same surname, there is something about them that besides binding them together, also sets them apart from each other. Joining them now is the young Samaira(Daugther of Karishma), who, in all possibilities, looks like the most probable option to be qualifying as the fifth generation torch bearer of the Kapoor clan. We do not deny that this is too early of a question, but one just cannot stop wondering as to where Samaira will be heading, as the toddler already seems enamoured by the arclights. Samaira seems totally inspired by her Ma and Maasi, and is all set to say ‘cheese’ to the camera.

After a long gap, Aishwarya Rai will appear in a Tamil movie. Her Forth coming Hindi release ‘Jodha Akbar’ opposite Hrithik Roshan will be dubbed and released in Tamil. The story is about the love story of Akbar and Jodha Bai, played by Hritik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai. Music is by AR Rahman. Aishwarya Rai had acted in films including ‘Iruvar’, ‘Jeans’, ‘Kandu Kondein Kandu Kondein’ in Tamil before. Her films like ‘Taal’ were dubbed and released in Tamil. Hopefully ‘Jodha Akbar’ is going to enthrall Aishwarya Rai’s fans in Tamilnadu.

Myself, I am lill bit movie crazy kind off Always used to be the first one in my home to open the daily newspaper's Cinema page while I was in India.Ofcourse not verryy crazy but likes filmi duniya ka news very much.These are my breakfast news these days! Bollywood Dutt back behind bars Monday on illegal weapons charges from 1993 Mumbai bombings





HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 10/25/07 – With charges that would make the baddest Hollywood celebrity whistle, Bollywood film star Sanjay Dutt was sent back to prison Monday after a short reprieve based on a technicality. But that was only a temporary victory and now he must face six years in jail stemming from the 1993 terrorist Mumbai bombing case for the possession of illegal firearms linked to the bombing which killed 257 and injured 800.
Only rappers in the U.S. can touch Dutt in terms of jaw-dropping criminal offenses. He is a big star in India, and its the equivalent of Paris Hilton getting arrested for being involved in the 9/11 attack.
He was originally freed on the grounds that the TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Prevention Act) court did not give him a judgment copy, which was considered a violation of his human rights.

He was found guilty and then sentenced on July 31 to the six years imprisonment, however, due to the technicality that he did not see the 4,340 page judgment against him, he was released.

However, “Sanjay today surrendered in court after receiving the court copy. He is likely to go back to Yerawada Jail on Tuesday,” said chief prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to the AFP.

Dutt’s lawyers will aggressively pursue an appeal for the beleaguered actor after reviewing the court’s decision.

The popular Bollywood star claims he is innocent of all charges and claims that he purchased the Kalashnikov assault rifle to protect his family from sectarian violence.

During his short reprieve, Dutt had been tirelessly fulfilling numerous film contracts. He currently has six films in production worth approximately 750 million Bollywood rupees. There is a lot riding him and his film’s successes.

Dutt has been vilified in the press before due to substance abuse problems and marital woes resulting in two public divorces.

Dutt’s father is a politically prominent Hindu and his mother is a famous Muslim actress

Saif: Kareena and I are together

It was a day of haute-couture. The grand finale of the Lakme Fashion Week. We were among the glitterati and the fashion conscious. And while the catwalks and shows were a hell of an experience, the ones who stole the show were Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor who walked in together and proved to be the 'real Showstoppers' as they went public with their much speculated-romance.

Saif Ali Khan, amidst much chaos, finally ended the media's prolonged speculation about his relationship with Kareena Kapoor as he openly declared that they are indeed a couple and were seeing each other.

The duo walked in together for designer Manish Malhotra's show at the Fashion Week and conveniently avoided the press on entry. However while walking out, the media's exuberant pressure and anxiety was finally put to rest as Saif chose to reveal his 'feelings' for Kareena.

When asked about their relationship, Saif said, "For the time being all I am comfortable with saying is that we are together. I think the media is giving too much attention to this. Kareena and I are here and are happy with each other." Kareena however chose to take a back seat and let her man do all the talking. She smiled, blushed and kept mum.

Saif and Kareena looked like a couple as they sat along with the likes of Deepika Padukone, Urmila Matondkar, Tusshar Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Parmeshwar Godrej and Arun Nayar in the front row. They giggled like youngsters in love and had a great time in each other's company.

However, Preity who happens to be a good friend of Saif was giving cold stares to Kareena and vice versa. They never spoke to each other, nor exchanged pleasantries. Kareena wasn't talking to any one else but Saif and Saif in turn was at his comfy-best flaunting his new lady love.

Ex-beau Shahid was seen attending a dandiya raas in Gujarat at about the same time as Saif and Bebo went public about their relationship. Both Shahid and Kareena had maintained a dignified silence about their break-up for a long time. What initially seemed a publicity gimmick of the couple to promote their film Jab We Met has finally turned out to be a bitter truth!
Ironically, Kareena around the same time last year had walked the ramp with Shahid for Manish's show.
Kareena Kapoor had been dating Shahid Kapur for three and a half years but recently she got close to Saif while shooting for Yash Raj film Tashan, which has led to her split from shahid. However Shahid was out of the country when news of Saif and Kareena’s romance became public. Shahid recently returned to Mumbai and has started promoting his film with Kareena Jab We Met. At first Shahid and Kareena refused to comment on heir personal lives and also refused to confirm their split. But recently at an event Shahid commented “For all ye girls out there, I am single and ready to mingle.” This has led to Kareena coming out into the open with her relationship with Saif. However Shahid and kareena came face to face as they had to promote their film Jab We met together, they attempted to be cordial with one another.

Meanwhile at the time that Saif and Kareena went public about their relationship, Kareena’s ex-flame Shahid Kapur was in Ahmedabad to promote his film Jab We Met. Shahid attended several dandiya functions and seemed to be in a cheerful mood. Now that Kareena and Shahid have split, Shahid and his mother actress Neelima Azmi have once again become quite close. Sources claimed that around four years back when Kareena and Shahid started dating, a distance developed between Shahid and his mother as Kareena did not get along with her. This led Shahid to even move out of his mother’s home and buy an apartment for himself. Now that Bebo is out of Shahid’s life, mother and son have renewed their relationship and she has been spending a lot of time with him. Neelima simply stated “Shahid and I are bonding again after four years. Now I am now spending a lot of time with Shahid I am so proud of the dignified way he conducts himself. Nothing ruffles him and he will come out of this mess soon.” As for the Saif and Kareena making their relationship public she magnanimously stated “God bless them”.


Kareena will be seen with Saif in Yash Raj's next Tashan... Given Saif's current Casanova status, only time will tell how long this relationship will sustain.

Bhoomika married noted yoga expert Bharat Thakur at a simple function on Sunday. The prominent actress was in love with the yoga master for some time.
The couple had announced that they would enter wedlock on 25 November. However much to the surprise of everyone in the film industry, the couple got married at a simple function in Mumbai on Sunday. The reason for their sudden wedding is not known.
Bhoomika is a prominent actress in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industry.

Aishwarya Rai to act in Taj film

Rai will play the wife of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is set to star in a major film about the Taj Mahal, India's famous monument to love. Rai, 33, will play the role of Mumtaz Mahal, the favourite wife of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan who built the stunning monument for her. Oscar-winning actor Sir Ben Kingsley, who will also be producing the $30m film, will play Shah Jahan. Rai, a former Miss World, is one of Bollywood's top stars and is hugely popular in her native India. 'She is special' The as yet untitled film will be produced by Sir Ben and is scheduled to be shot in India in 2008, Rai's foreign agent Simone Sheffield told the BBC News website. The director of the film has not yet been chosen and the script has yet to be completed, Ms Sheffield said. Former model Bipasha Basu will also act in the Taj film Another Bollywood actress and former model, Bipasha Basu, will be playing the role of Shah Jahan's daughter, Jahanara. Ms Sheffield said Sir Ben had met Basu while co-hosting the Seven New Wonders of the World event in Lisbon in July, where they had discussed the role. Rai, 33, is presently filming Pink Panther 2, starring Steve Martin, Andy Garcia, Jean Reno and John Cleese, in Boston. She has worked in international projects with mixed results. In 2005, she appeared in the British romantic comedy Bride and Prejudice; and she also starred in Provoked, a film based on the autobiography of a victim of domestic abuse, who was convicted of the murder of her husband. Ms Sheffield said Rai was "considering two other [international] films" for next spring. "She is special because she can play different ages and ethnicities. Because of this, many producers and directors think of her in a wide range of roles," she said. Rai has been featured on the cover of Time magazine as Bollywood's leading lady and has been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and David Letterman.
