Need Help with choosing Life Insurance in the US......

Hi all:

If I take a policy term,whole,etc here in the US... I am not sure about these terms ....Please help...What does term and whole mean?

How does it work if you are a US citizen but living in India or any other country? What if the person holding the insurance policy,paying regularly dies in any other country other than the US. Do they still qualify in that case to get the insured amount?

Please give information as how to choose this keeping in mind the person is US citizen but travels a lot. Which Insurance have you taken up and why?
Please share as that will help me decide.
Lastly, which insurance company is the best one right now?

I'm a USC living in India. I have one of the Indian insurance policies. When I left the US, I did not renew my US term life policy. Reason - I decided it would be easier to handle the insurance in India.
Regarding policy payment if death occurs outside the US, I think the best person to answer that question will be your insurance agent - since there are various riders that you may need. I don't remember the exact details of my US policy.
Talk to a few agents and get quotes and chose what is right for you. I think you can even compare policies online.
