Default Credit card fraud protection

Hi all,
I just wanted your advise on how we can be secure from fraud of credit card. We already had this issue two times with citi card but luckily we got exempt from citi people got credit card replaced. Today morning again we had to order something on phone from Walgreens and I am getting really specious. Can we trust walgreens people and give your credit card etails for medicines and stuff.. Please let me know.
