Hi Kamala,

I agree with you partly regarding the real estate. Its is no doubt a good investment. But the question is if u leave the house on rent, very difficult to get a tenant that too good people. If a land then you need to be on the look out that no one occupies your place..

Dear sharadha,

Thanks for sharing your views here.Ya, i am also an investor and a trader in shares. If we carefully invest, shares give a very good return. It depends on the risk apetite of the investor. It is liquid asset. So helps when we need urgent cash.

But i have diff in what you say on real estate.Real estate is the one which never lets you down. The value for the land remains always.it does not have any depreciation.Though it is not liquid,It is a very good long term investment.

Coming to gold.Yes,your point is right.THe returns are less compared to other assets.

It is really alarming to read.

Not an expert, but as far as liquidity goes, shares,MF. etc are good.with sharada about the risk factors reg.tennat etc. but to some extent....good.For saving for the future generation, nothing beats gold.Nowadays...the FD.s come last.

Hi Kamala,

My vote is for real estate any day. Wherever we are, when we buy a land or a home, there is sure to be appreciation in value if we make our move wisely by choosing a good area in terms of locality, schools, shopping centers etc.

Next on the list will be gold, again it depends on our capacity and the market value.

Cheers
Krithika

Dear kaluputti,

Is this your original name.very different.

shares are very liquid.proper investment strategy is needed for good returns.people without much knowledge can go in for mutual funds which also gives good returns in long term.

There may be risk factors in realestate.BUt if you take any asset, there is risk involved in it.So when we look at the returns it gives, risk factor is not a burden.

Thanks for giving your views here.
