Hi, Can anyone guide/provide me information on the best short-term investment options in India...I invest in CD every month and hold 2 insurance policies...but would like to make a further investment every month...but not sure where to put a small portion of the amount... Appreciate your help...Thanks
There are many options S7. A few safe & risk free ones are: 1. RD's 2. FD's 3. VPF's Better venture into politics, then you wouldn't know what to do with your earnings
GG this is a surprise...wasn't expecting the first reply from you and am I glad venture into politics ah :rotflwill think about it;-) Thanks for your suggestions...Any idea whats the % for VPF ??
PPF & VPF - the rates are about 8.7% You are right on the surprise part - me & savings- I don't even shave daily where am I going to save!!!! :rotfl
If it is small amount then think of some small banks like TMB. Else you have option of investing in MFs, the risk would be similar to bank CD. The other option to invest in corporate FDs
Dearies, could you please write the expansions also? I am totally new to this savings and would like to know more about it. MF, CD, corporate FD.. seems alienated to me..
MF - Mutual Fund CD - Certificate of Deposit SIP - Systematic Investment Plan FD - Fixed Deposit RD - Recurring Deposit
Short term investment is always from Stocks(if you know how to play)... If you don't know, then comes, --> RD++ => 9% -> FD => 8-9% PPF --> 8-9%...But for long term.. u cant with draw few years. for short term like, 3-5 %, Buy Govt bonds like REC or Infra Bonds etc... Check Sptulsian Website for detailed analysis for new.. Happy investing ...
